[Eagle isn't quite finished with his first cup so he looks at that, then flusters and sets it down before making a second cup with the green tea. He's going to be drinking a lot of tea today.

Just like he did with the first one he tries to give it a sniff to breathe in the scent. There is something woody about it. It kind of smells like home.]

S-Some of them do! [They even have wine!]

W-What about you? And what is this tea supposed to be cleansing? [Unsure, he still takes a sip of it anyway, making a pleased, happy face.]

( he will be, but at least he has great company. they both do, really.

a part of leaks is, again, somewhat jealous of eagle's ability to... get along??? with the other animals of his yard. but he's endearing and pure and many things that leaks could ever be. )

The spirit. The palette. Many things.

( there isn't enough green tea in the world for leaks. )

... I hope the flavors have been kind to you so far. The last one is much sweeter.

[Eagle is so dedicated to getting along that more often than not he just lets animals walk all over him in the interest of keeping the peace so it's definitely not all good things?

He's none the wiser though to Leaks's thoughts, quietly sipping tea.]

Spirit and palette, hm? [Well, he does feel happier while drinking the tea but that might also just be because he has very good company.]

And they've been really good. The last one is the chocolate tea, right? Having a few choices that are really different is a good idea, Leaks.

( both ears flick as he nods, lowering his head slightly with a serene smile on his face. )

I am glad that you agree. My hope is that at least one will appeal to someone who may visit, and that I can expand my offerings as time goes by...

( suddenly, leaks narrows his eyes. )

... lean towards me, please.

I'm sure they will! I'll come by and visit too-

[Eagle is a hundred percent ready to funnel his entire Chroma stash on Leaks' shop when he's asked to lean in Leaks' direction??

He's not sure why but obeys with a quizzical expression on his face.]

What's the matter? [Does he have something stuck to his face?]

( there's a smile on his face as eagle leans forward. it's almost like he has no idea what a cat would do when prey is so close? and leaks, while not a complete cat, certainly has those feline instincts.

very slowly, he nods. there is something stuck to his face.

or is there?

either way, leaks does give the bird a peck. with his lips, though. )

[That smile suits Leaks and Eagle can't help but smile back, still patiently waiting to see what would happen.

He doesn't expect the soft, light touch of a kiss though and he stares for a moment, wide-eyed, mouth open.]

[Then when he realizes what just happened, he blushes red right to his ears.]

D-D-D-D-D-Did you just?! I-... and you just- [Was he just kissed?!]

( a snort, as he returns to his drink and observes eagle's reaction. it's... cute? that's probably the word for it. how red he is, after receiving the smallest bit of affection. it makes him wonder about who else might give him the tiniest dote, whether he gives the same 'answer' to those to like him? )

I did. Please, continue to drink.

( pleased with himself, leaks' tail flicks back and forth. )

[Eagle likes affection, he always has and always will, no matter if it's the tiniest little thing or more than that. After all, he's convinced he needs to earn it and that because he's fundamentally broken, unable to fly and a terrible provider who bites his tongue if he gets too worked up while talking, he will never earn the affection he craves.

So that tiny kiss already has him flustered, thinking about this all way too hard. He can't drink the tea because he can feel his face turning redder at Leaks' easy admittance of what he'd done.]

I can't just-! A-After you just- [And not only that Leaks is enjoying teasing him?!]

Just... what? It was only a kiss.

( his smile is faint yet haughty, leaning back and humming in thought. the bird doesn't cease to amaze him. both ears twitch as he puts his cup down and taps his chin. )

... did you want another?

( or would that kill eagle right here and now? )

[Is he being teased?! He's being teased.]

That's-

[Eagle can't say that he doesn't want another because what if he hurts Leaks' feelings and more importantly: it would be a lie if he said that he didn't want another.]

I-

[He hasn't even been kissed again but he's already dying.]

I will take that as a 'no'.

( but he's not hurt or offended. eagle is young, and though leaks' experience with affection has been pretty hit or miss, those reactions touch a spot inside of him that has been rarely touched. )

But that is okay. I do not want to overwhelm you.

I-I'm not overwhelmed! [Says the eagle, clearly overwhelmed.

Besides, he's an adult, he'd say! And that kind of affection, that kind of care and sweetness was embarrassing.]

A-And I never said "no"!

Then, I will bestow upon you another.

( this kiss is held a little longer than the first, both ears flicking back as he graces eagle's cheek. as he finishes, the ribika reaches out to give eagle's head a couple of gentle pats. )

[That was not an invitation to kiss him again!! (okay it totally was but at the same time, his poor bird heart)

He doesn't know what to say, nor how to deal with the warm burst of moonlacing that leaves him wanting more but unable to ask for more so he settles with covering his cheek with his hand and blushing all the way to the tips of his ears.]

Eagle.

( his voice is barely above a whisper. still amused, but getting a little tired of the bird hiding his face. )

Move your hand. Let me see.

[Eagle only looks up, moving his hand because he trusts Leaks. Even if he can feel just how hot his face is currently.]

Th-There's nothing to see...

( the cat's smile is barely practiced, but as warm as he could make it. )

There is plenty. ( ear wiggle! ) Now, I would like to know... if you would be willing to accompany me to the park? There is a spot I wish to encourage the growth of my future plants.

[Leaks is smiling.

LEAKS IS SMILING. Eagle blushes and looks away, focusing instead on that ear wiggle.]

...Yeah. I-I'll go. [Is he there to help water??]

( to be honest, watering is only one part of the equation. the plants need company too! )

Good. Shall we go on foot?

( it'd be safer than teleporting, that's for sure. standing up, he looks at the cups and the plates. it's easy for him to float them away with a gesture, to safely place them in the sink. )

[All Eagle knows about plants he learned from Konoha and unfortunately he only knows about maybe harvesting?? He Tries.]

On foot is fine!

[He's sure teleporting would be faster but he wouldn't say no to more company.

Except before they can get going, Eagle is staring open-mouthed as the plates and cups float away and into the sink.]

How? Th-That's amazing!

( it's an oddly funny yet true way of explaining, and leaks shrugs. he should be more cognizant of worlds that aren't limited in that way. )

At times, I rather do things myself--- physically. I would rather not lean on using what power I have, no matter how big or small, to do things that do not require that much effort.

Magic. [Despite the kangaroos with rocket launchers and humanoid animals, Eagle's world is really quite mundane. He's more used to seeing other people's powers now that he's been here for a bit but that still doesn't make Leaks' powers any less amazing to him.

Except he... thinks about it for a moment about what it means when he says it requires effort. That's right... using powers here required moonlacing to replenish and yet Leaks is using what chroma he has.

He's impressed!]

W-Well, you're still amazing even if you don't use your powers like that. It's cool though, that you can do it. Do you have enough chroma? Um... we could hold hands!

( frankly, the idea of a kangaroo with a rocket launcher is terrifying and not even leaks can imagine the dangers of a marsupial with explosive ordinance. it's not even in his mental dictionary.

compliments. leaks still hasn't learned how to process them. it doesn't matter who says it, who means it, how simple or elegant the words are--- the cat is simply flustered. his cheeks take on a hint of pink as his ears twitch, folding slightly. )

I am happy you think that. ( that he's amazing. that would be the last word he'd use to describe himself. ) And I do, but... I would not mind doing it anyway.

( he holds his hand out for eagle to take, tail low and swaying gently. )
