[There's a crazy tilt to the video and then a loud clatter when Eagle drops the thing straight onto the ground. A worried face though appears in the next moment.]

A-Ah, um, yes! Yes, this is Eagle. [HOW DOES THIS THING WORK]

Hi! I just wanted to check up on you! Are you doing alright acclimating and everything?

[She's so kind, he thinks, thank goodness she didn't say anything.]

Y-Yes, I'm fine. Hi, and thank you for checking up on me. W-What about you? Are you alright? [Wait she's been here longer than he has and when he realizes it, he turns red.]

U-Um.

I'm fine!

[Without realizing that it's why he looked so red, Konoha just answers, waving her hand again in greeting.]

Same old, same old here! Even though it's the Lunatian old and not really old.

[WHY IS SHE SO KIND]

Th-That’s good. Oh, did your husband like the sweater?

[Her hands go from waving to patting at happy pink cheeks instead, pleased in the simplest way to have given someone a gift they ended up liking.]

It's really different than what we're used to, but he said it was comfortable and warm... thanks again for helping me with it!

I'm glad! [Eagle still has his own sweater and realizes he should probably wear it more often instead of carefully keeping it wrapped up where it couldn't get damaged.]

And you're welcome, it's great to hear that he liked it. I knew he would. [Since Konoha had picked it out for him and everything.]

It was really handy when it snowed so much all of a sudden before. You didn't have any trouble keeping warm, did you?

[He was right! It seldom happens but he’s happy when he is, nonetheless.]

I didn’t, since eagles like me usually nest in colder areas than this. And I once had a barbecue in the snow so being here was kind of like that. I’m glad the sweater kept you two warm though.

You had a barbecue in the snow? Like... a barbecue for bird people?

It was actually Polar Bear’s barbecue garden party. I was just helping out with Lion.

[While the guests that were near the fire refused to go anywhere and all the others huddled for whatever warmth they could get. Who knew that having a garden party in subzero temperatures was a bad idea??

Not Polar Bear, that’s for sure.]

[Eagle has gotten so much better at answering these things that he doesn't even once fumble it which has him smiling even before he sees it's Leaks. Leaks though is treated to the brightest smile of all.]

I-I'm here! H-Hi.

( the slight stuttering... he leans in, towards the camera of his device. )

Are you okay? Is there something the matter?

[That might just make Eagle stutter more. He's the type who will accidentally bite his tongue when he's too excited....

But right now that doesn't matter as Eagle flails one hand.]

No! Everything's fine. I... it's just... I didn't drop it this time. [......So he's a bit proud of himself.]

( leaks smiles faintly, tilting his head to one side. )

I see. I am happy that your happy, Eagle.

I would like to know if you could meet me here at this address. I live in an apartment here, and am taste testing drinks. Your assistance and company would be greatly appreciated.

( a ping on a map shows his location. it's on the same level where most moonblessed live. )

[He's being invited over to a friend's house!! Eagle perks up immediately, his smile bright.]

I'd love to! [And it's also not that far since Eagle also lives on that same level.

Sure, Leaks doesn't say he has to bring anything but he'll bring along some cake from a bakery (though his first choice would have been fish... if fish went with most drinks which it didn't really).]

Whenever you are free. I can have this selection prepared at a moments notice, though as of now I am testing a few different teas.

( which cake can work with, or anything really--- he can make it work. )

Then I'll be there soon. [No time like the present, after all. And Eagle's free time couldn't be better spent with Leaks, he thinks.

Though he does take make a quick detour to buy a selection of small cakes, holding those carefully before he makes his way to the designated address and knocks!]

( both ears perk up, and he sits up straight in his chair--- a black and simple plush one that almost matches the same shade of his fur. )

( he already knows it's eagle, and all it takes is a flick of his wrist to start heating one of the kettles on his stove. )

[The moment Eagle opens the door (one hand still balancing the cake box), he recognizes that expression on Leaks' face. Or really, more specifically his ears. Eagle smiles back in response.]

Thank you for inviting me. I brought cakes... I thought they'd go well with most things.

[He'd even made sure to buy different kinds! (Just not the kinds with chocolate in them, just in case.)]

( a box... yes, it looks like one he's seen in one of the bakeries. he knows what to expect, though it's the fact that eagle has brought them that has leaks' tail wiggling as he stands up. )

You are very thoughtful. ( he moves over to where the kettle's boiling grows louder, and gestures at his counter. ) You may leave those there as I prepare the drinks.

( his living room is full of bookcases and books, two chairs (one chair he was resting in), and a table. )

... have you been returned to the virtual version of your yard since we last went?

[Eagle always feels as if it's easier to tell what someone is thinking when they have animal features. They're just so much more expressive and honest. Leaks looks happy... and that makes Eagle smile.]

I-It's nothing. [He could't even imagine coming here without bringing some sort of gift.]


And no... I haven't... after all, it's not really the Upper Yard, right? Um... have you? [Eagle tries not to look around Leaks' apartment as he sets down the cakes but he's looking anyway, taking in the huge amount of books, the cozy chairs. This place really does feel a lot like Leaks.]
